Meet Jamison “The Jam-is-on” Fernandez

A walking spark of joy and rhythm, Jamison Fernandez—also known as “J-mo” or “theJamison247”—is a full-time performing musician, multi-instrumentalist, and motivational music instructor based in Wisconsin. With over a decade of experience teaching and performing, he’s not just playing music—he’s on a mission to help others reconnect with their creativity, confidence, and joy through sound.

Jamison’s musical style is a vibrant blend of rock, blues, metal, indie, folk, pop, and world music. Influenced by artists like Nahko, Twiddle, and Wookiefoot—as well as guitar gods like Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan—his sound spans the emotional spectrum. His original music dives deep into the human experience, offering introspective healing, laughter, and raw truth. Whether it’s a solo acoustic set filled with loops, harmonica riffs, and heartfelt vocals, or shredding electric solos with one of his bands, every performance is a unique moment designed to make people feel.

But Jamison’s magic doesn’t stop at the stage. After struggling with traditional music lessons as a kid, he developed a revolutionary approach to teaching that combines passion, play, and purpose. He’s now the creator of a motivational online masterclass, designed to help musicians who have fallen out of practice rekindle their spark and find balance between motivation and discipline. As he says, “You don’t need more time—you need your fire back.”

He’s helped hundreds of students go from stagnant to inspired, from shy to stage-ready.
